RIVERSIDE, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A Riverside staple will close its doors in September.

Clancy’s Tavern, located on Burkhardt Road in Riverside, has announced that after 41 years of service, it will close on Sept. 14 for good.

In a social media post , the tavern shared well wishes for its owner as he retires.

“This decision, though bittersweet, is made with a heart full of gratitude for the friendships we have made over the years,” the post said.

Clancy’s has been a popular spot for sports fans for decades. The restaurant will operate under normal business hours up until their final day.

“It has been a privilege to serve this community for 41 years,” the post said. “Stop in and see us before we say our final goodbye!”
