    Crews respond to fire in Trotwood lounge-eatery

    TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) — Crews responded to a fire this morning in Trotwood.

    According to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center, crews were dispatched to the area of Salem Avenue on report of the fire.

    Our 2 NEWS crew on scene reports that the road is being reopened as crews clean up the scene.

    The Trotwood Fire Department later confirmed that fire crews were dispatched to Sheikh’s Lounge on the 4100 block of Salem Avenue.

    On scene, crews faced smoke that was emanating from the rear of the building. Upon entry into the structure, crews located the fire in the kitchen area, where it was contained and extinguished. The building was unoccupied at the time of incident.

    The fire remains under investigation.
