Man dies in head-on crash in Riverside

RIVERSIDE, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A two-vehicle crash on Old Troy Pike killed one person Saturday night.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Dayton Post was called to respond to a crash just minutes before midnight on Aug. 24. Crews were sent out in reference to a two-vehicle crash on Old Troy Pike in Riverside.

Preliminary investigation shows a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling southbound at Old Troy Pike when the vehicle traveled left of center, striking a 2017 Chevrolet Impala head-on.

The Chevrolet driver, identified as 53-year-old Michael Jumper, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Nissan driver was sent to the hospital with serious injuries.

OSP was assisted on scene by Riverside police and fire personnel. The crash remains under investigation.
