COLUMBUS, Ohio (WDTN) — The woman who took two infants from central Ohio in 2022 has officially received her sentence.

Nalah Jackson, 26, of Columbus, was sentenced in federal court on Aug. 27 to 280 months in prison. In February , Jackson pleaded guilty to two counts of kidnapping a minor.

Fraudulent parking violation placed on local vehicle

On Dec. 19, 2022, Jackson prompted an Amber Alert by taking a black Honda Accord with two toddlers inside.

She stopped at several locations, including the Dayton International Airport around 3 a.m. on Dec. 20, 2022. About an hour later, one child was found in the airport parking lot wrapped in a quilt between two vehicles.

By 8 a.m. on the same day, Jackson ended up parking the vehicle in a Papa Johns parking lot in Indianapolis. She left the remaining child in the vehicle alone for the next two-and-a-half days.

On Dec. 22, 2022, Jackson was selling alleged stolen merchandise, and an Indianapolis woman noticed Jackson. The woman contacted authorities and Jackson was arrested.

One of the toddlers, Ky’air Thomas, died in January 2023.

I mean she was wrong but in my opinion she got to harsh a sentence, after all the kids weren't harmed and were returned safely.. Consider that in relation the the guy from UD , Brock Turner who SA'd (graped) and intoxicated passed out Female UD student behind a dumpster and his wealthy dad and judge made sure it didn't ruin his life and he only served what a month or two? if that. That woman is traumatized for life and he gets to walk around as if nothing happened.

It's pretty sad she did that but never hurt them, then one of them ended up dying at home with its parents. This case never really made any sense on why she took them SMH. But happy she is off the streets
