More construction begins on Alex Bell Road

WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Drivers and pedestrians who commute through West Carrollton will likely be impacted by more construction.

The city of West Carrollton reports updates will be conducted beginning Tuesday, Sept. 3 on West Alex Bell Road around the I-75 underpass.

Excluding the 20 miles per hour speed limit when the school zone times are issued, vehicular traffic will be subject to just 25 miles per hour. Construction barrels will be out on the roadway while crews work, as well as one lane of traffic in each direction.

As crews begins working on the north side of Alex Bell Road, the north sidewalk will be closed. Once crews move finish the north side, they will move to work on the south side of the roadway, which will close the south sidewalk. During construction, the opposite sidewalk will remain open.

Some of the new and upgraded visual aspects are expected to include the following:

• Decorative banner poles
• Fresh paint
• Landscaping
• Lighting
• Limestone rip-rap
