Suspect in custody following Moraine bank robbery

MORAINE, Ohio (WDTN) — An investigation is underway after a reported robbery occurred at a local bank.

According to the Moraine Police Department, officers were called Friday morning to the 1900 block of W. Dorothy Lane in Moraine. When our 2 NEWS crew arrived in the area, they found officers at the Fifth Third Bank location.

Police confirmed to 2 NEWS that detectives are investigating after a robbery reportedly took place. The department told 2 NEWS that a suspect was found in the general area of the bank, and is in custody.

While 2 NEWS was at the location, our crew reported a sign was placed on the door saying the branch is closed for the remainder of the the day.
