OSP investigating crash involving toddler, ATV in Springfield

DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — The Springfield Post of Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving an ATV and a toddler.

According to OSP, troopers were dispatched to an injury crash in the 2700 block of Dale Ave. in Springfield Township around 5 p.m. on Monday.

A two-year-old pedestrian crossed Dale Ave. in front of a 2018 Kawasaki ATV. The driver of the ATV struck the juvenile in the roadway.

The child was transported by air ambulance to Dayton Children’s Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
