    ‘Exercise caution:’ Alligator reportedly spotted at Beavercreek park

    BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) — Authorities are investigating a reported alligator sighting at a local park.

    The city of Beavercreek reports the Beavercreek Police Department responded to Dominick Lofino Park around noon on Saturday, Sept. 14. According to the city, officers were called to the location for a reported alligator spotting.

    Although Beavercreek Police has only received the one call for a reported sighting, the city is now working with wildlife officials to assist with the investigation.

    “Although there is no immediate danger to the public, we ask residents to exercise caution around the pond as a precaution until further notice,” said the city. “Our team is working diligently to confirm the situation and will provide updates as more information becomes available.”
