Fairborn man wins $50K on scratch-off ticket

FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) — A Greene County man is celebrating after purchasing a scratch-off lottery ticket.

The Ohio Lottery reports a Fairborn resident traveled to a Speedway location on Colonel Glenn Highway in Fairborn. While at the convenience store, the man purchased a “Hit it Big,” a $10 scratch-off Ohio Lottery ticket.

According to the Ohio Lottery, the man claimed to have been “speechless” after learning he had just won $50,000.

The lottery winner says while he will keep some money for things like automotive work, purchasing winter boots and getting a haircut, a portion of the money will be used as donations to select charitable organizations.

Following federal and state tax, the Fairborn man will take home $36,000.
