An investigation at the scene indicates that the crash occurred when a Ford Fusion traveled north on Pritz Ave. towards Wyoming Ave. Along this path is when the vehicle struck the 11-year-old, who was riding a bicycle at the time of the crash.

The 11-year-old was launched off the bicycle, landed onto the windshield of the vehicle and then off of it and onto the road. The driver of the Ford Fusion did not stop and identify themselves.

Medics transported the boy to an area hospital for suspected serious injuries.
