LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — A Liberty Township woman accused of shooting her infant grandchild late last year has pleaded guilty.

According to Butler County Prosecutor Michael Gmoser, Mia Harris pleaded guilty to one count of felonious assault with a three-year firearm specification.

Gmoser confirmed additional charges were dropped for the plea.

In December 2023, authorities were sent to a residence in Liberty Township in reference to a reported shooting.

Harris was set to face trial on Sept. 30, but has since been canceled due to the guilty plea.

The Butler County court has scheduled a disposition hearing for Harris to occur on Oct. 29.
