BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) — After searching, wildlife officials have been unable to locate an alligator or any other exotic creature at a local pond.

The city of Beavercreek no longer believes there is an alligator or any other exotic animal in the pond at Dominick Lofino Park. According to the city, officials have not received any additional sightings of the creatures, even with the uptick of visitors.

Beavercreek police officers were called Saturday to the park after James Bond, III, went fishing with his father. He believed he saw a “large shadow” near his fishing line in the pond, which prompted him to snap two photos.

“Safety remains a top priority for the city,” said the city of Beavercreek. “We remind park visitors to always exercise caution around bodies of water and to keep an eye on children and pets.”

If you are at a Beavercreek park and notice something out of the ordinary, you are asked to call the Beavercreek Parks Division at 937-427-5514 .
