Just after noon on Saturday, Sept. 14, troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol conducted a traffic stop on a 2012 Hyundai Sonata on I-75 in Shelby County. According to OSP, the traffic stop was made on the basis of an alleged moving violation.

Police presence expected Thursday in Montgomery County

When troopers claimed to have witnessed “criminal indicators,” a drug-sniffing K9 was dispatched to the scene. OSP claims authorities conducted a “probable cause search,” which revealed six-pounds of methamphetamine, totaling around $24,000.

The driver and passengers from Michigan, Tennessee and Virginia were all transported from the scene to the Shelby County Jail on drug-related charges, OSP said.
