Police investigating 1 person shot in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A large police presence was spotted at an intersection of Springfield following a shooting.

2 NEWS crews see a large police presence of at least 10 cruisers and an evidence vehicle at the intersection of S. Wittenberg Avenue and W. Grand Avenue in Springfield. Police say they are investigating a shooting.

Police on scene tell 2 NEWS that at least one person was shot in the incident that happened just before noon on Sept. 24. That person was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for their injuries.

Investigation is currently underway.
