ADAMS COUNTY, OHIO (WDTN) — A southern Ohio house fire is believed to have been caused by arson.

The Ohio State Fire Marshal reports firefighters were sent just before 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 21 to a vacant residential structure in Adams County. When first responders arrived at the scene, they reportedly witnessed the carport, garage and house to be “fully engulfed.”

As investigators worked to determine the cause of the fire, they concluded it was an “intentional human act.”

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for the arrest and conviction of the responsible individuals.

Individuals with knowledge of what may have happened or who could have caused the fire are asked to call the tip line at 1-800-589-2728. You can remain anonymous.
