    Police investigating alleged burglary, shooting in Harrison Twp.

    HARRISON TWP., Ohio (WDTN) — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated burglary and shooting incident.

    The incident occurred in the 5500 block of Brantford Road between Sept. 23-24.

    According to the sheriff’s office, on Sept. 23, deputies were dispatched to the residence on report of burglary and theft of firearms. Deputies spoke with the homeowner, a male, who said that firearms had been taken from said residence.

    2 men acquitted of charges due to insufficient evidence

    The next day, deputies were dispatched back to the residence on reports of a shooting. Deputies spoke again to the homeowner, who said that he confronted two individuals who allegedly entered the home. Shots were fired during the altercation and the alleged individuals fled from the residence on foot.

    Deputies later located two individuals in the vicinity, one had sustained a gunshot wound. That person was taken to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries, discharged from the facility and then taken into police custody.

    Multiple search warrants have been executed in Trotwood and more alleged suspects have been identified by police. A vehicle of interest has been obtained as well.
