DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — If you like to be scared, Ohio might have some destinations you’d be interested in visiting.

TourismOhio has released its 24 scariest locations from throughout the state. Many of these areas are outside of the Miami Valley, so they may require quite the jaunt.

The locations included in their list range from spooky state parks to hotels said to be haunted. TourismOhio is supervised by the Ohio Department of Development.

“Whether you’re seeking thrills or looking for a more family-friendly option, this list showcases many unique Ohio destinations,” said Lydia Mihalik, director of the Ohio Department of Development.

“From experiencing the haunted history of Cleveland’s Franklin Castle to making yourself at home with the ghostly guests of Marietta’s Lafayette Hotel, there’s no shortage of spooky fun here in the Buckeye State,” said state tourism director Sarah Wickham.

Weekend events around Dayton: Sept. 27-29

The scariest place in Ohio is JD Vance's bathroom. Lord, what all comes out him is a horror story Edgar Allen Poe could never imagine.
