Tyler has been an invaluable asset to the City, and I am confident his expertise and dedication will serve us well in this expanded role. He has demonstrated strong leadership and a deep understanding of our operations, which will be instrumental as we continue to move Centerville forward. He is very well-respected both internally and externally.

Wayne Davis, Centerville City Manager, said in a press release.

As Assistant City Manager, Roark will assist with strategic planning, manage key projects and work closely with city staff and community partners. Roark will continue to oversee the financial operations of the city, which he has done since 2019 as the Centerville’s Finance Director.

“I am honored to take on this new challenge, and I look forward to working alongside our talented staff and leadership team to build on the progress we’ve made. Centerville is a wonderful community, and I am excited to help guide its future,” Roark said in the release.

Roark’s time as Finance Director is noted by the city office as a contributing factor towards investments in Uptown, Cornerstone, Benham’s Grove and Stubbs Park.

Roark will take over the position from Mariah Vogelgesang, who left the role earlier this month to pursue a role with On Main. His tenure will begin on Oct. 7.
