COLUMBUS, Ohio (WDTN) — The state of Ohio has issued a hotline to combat human trafficking.

The hotline serves as the first statewide hotline in Ohio regarding human trafficking.

Attorney General Dave Yost says that the hotline is a much needed tool as efforts are made to stop human trafficking.

“Every phone call could be a lifeline to someone needing help,” Yost said in a press release.

The hotline, which is 844-END-OHHT (844-363-6448), ciphers tips about suspected sex and labor trafficking to law enforcement officials, giving the caller a direct line to those equipped to help.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) operates the hotline 24/7 and communicates information with local law enforcement offices, human trafficking task forces and the BCI’s Special Victims Unit .

“Having a locally operated, round-the-clock resource means providing critical tips to law enforcement in real time. It means our officers and task forces have a better shot at rescuing victims and bringing traffickers to justice,” Yost said.

and I'm sure they made it almost impossible to file a report as they do for child exploitation! you call the hotline to report all these predators trying to exploit minors and they either ignore you or make the report you can file online so impossible to complete most just give up. wouldn't it be pretty easy just to put done agents in the seats and have them just log into all the platforms that enable predators and physically e8tness this bullshit that goes on daily on fb, reddit, quora, whisper, and God knows where else
