    Butler County ERS Team returns home from Florida deployment

    DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — After a six-day deployment to Pensacola, officials from Butler County have returned home from Florida.

    The Butler County Sheriff’s Office announced that the Emergency Response Services (ERS) Team was deployed on Sept. 25 . They were initially expected to remain in Florida for 16 days.

    Ohio Task Force 1 leaves Florida, heads to North Carolina

    During the operation, the team was assigned to three counties along the coast of Pensacola and assisted with searches for those in need of medical or evacuation assistance. The ERS team also collaborated with other rescue crews to conduct damaged property assessments.

    Once all tasks were complete, the state of Florida released them to return to Butler County.

    “Our duties and responsibilities to the citizens of this country to keep them safe and secure from harm is immeasurable and know no bounds,” Sheriff Jones stated.
