I-70 lane closures expected due to bridge repair project

PREBLE COUNTY, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Lane restrictions will be in place in both directions of I-70 in Preble County next week.

The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced lane closures will be in place on Monday, Oct. 7 and Tuesday, Oct. 8 along I-70 near US-35. The closures will affect both directions and be in place from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. the following day.

The expected closures will allow crews to work on the next step of the US-35 bridge rehabilitation project. Crews have been replacing the bridge deck, raising the ramp and painting the bridge that carries US-35 West over I-70.

The project began earlier this year, with completion expected later this month.
