    Semi-truck crashes into overhead signage on I-70 E causing lengthy delays

    UPDATE (Oct. 4 at 8:14 a.m.): All lanes have reopened on I-70 East as of this writing.

    DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A semi-truck crash has been reported on Interstate 70 East beyond State Route 48, shutting down lanes indefinitely.

    According to the Dayton Post of Ohio State Highway Patrol, the semi-truck hit overhead signage knocking it down onto the highway. The incident reportedly occurred at 5:35 p.m.

    OSP confirmed at 10:36 p.m. that the left lane on I-70 E has reopened.

    At this time, there are no reported injuries.

    Motorists should find an alternative route and expect delays. OHGO cameras show significant backups on the roadway.
