CINCINNATI, Ohio (WDTN) – According to our partners at WLWT , the Cincinnati Reds have reportedly found their next manager.

Mark Feinsand of MLB.com was the first to report that the Reds are planning to hire World Series-winning manager Terry Francona to be the team’s next manager.

Francona, 65, retired at the end of the 2023 season after 23 seasons as a manager with the Philadelphia Phillies, Boston Red Sox and Cleveland.

Nicknamed “Tito,” Francona won two World Series championships with the Red Sox in 2004 and 2007. He also led Cleveland to the 2016 World Series.

Francona has compiled a record of 1,950-1,672 over his time as an MLB manager, winning at least 90 games in 12 different seasons.

The report that the Reds are set to hire Francona comes after Cincinnati parted ways with manager David Bell late last month.
