DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Thirteen cats are receiving care from the Humane Society of Greater Dayton after a house fire on Thursday afternoon .

The Humane Society posted an update on their social media yesterday, detailing the condition of the 13 cats now in their care.

After today’s house fire, we worked with the Miami Valley Fire District, and took in 13 cats. We are currently providing them with temporary housing and medical care. Two of the cats in our care are currently on oxygen and another is facing some minor burns from the house fire, but they are safe and receiving the care they need at our facility. We are also working with the owner of the house fire as well to help him navigate things through this difficult time.
