OSP is leading the investigation, according to our partners at WLWT . Troopers say a Chrysler was traveling northeast on SR-28 when it struck a Subaru going northwest on Edenton Pleasant Plain Road at the intersection.

Both vehicles traveled off of the road into a ditch and an embankment, killing both drivers and three additional occupants.

The driver of the Chrysler has been identified as Mathew Penny, 25 of Cincinnati, and the driver of the Subaru was identified as Dustin McDole, 43 of Goshen.

Inside the Chrysler were three other occupants. Chloe Love, 19 of Loveland, and Dezmen Jernigan, 18 of Goshen, were also pronounced dead on scene. One additional passenger, identified as an 18-year-old male, was transported to UC Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The Subaru had one additional occupant — Andrea Iery, 42 of Pleasant Plain — who was also pronounced dead on scene.

Assisting agencies on scene were the Goshen Police Department, Goshen Twp. Fire & EMS, Warren County EMS, Loveland/Symmes Twp. EMS, and the Clermont County Coroner’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation by OSP.
