Through the Humane Society’s One Health Program, a licensed social worker is assisting the woman in navigating and finding needed resources.

In a post on social media , the Humane Society said, “Here at HSGD we care about the animals, but we want to make sure the pet owners can thrive as well. This is why programs like our One Health Program are so critical to ensuring we do all we can for the people and pets in our community.”

The house fire displaced not only the pets but also the residents.
