    Man accused of shooting, killing mother on highway arraigned in court

    DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — The man accused of shooting and killing a mother while she was in the backseat of a car with her daughter was arranged today in court.

    23-year-old Noah Corbitt was indicted on Oct. 4 by Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck Jr. Corbitt is charged with the shooting death of 26-year-old Jermea Lyle on US-35 .

    Clark County Sheriff’s Office announces death of retired K9 ‘Yari’

    Corbitt pleaded not guilty to several charges including 2 counts of murder, 1 charge of discharging a firearm and 5 counts of felonious assault.

    Police say Corbitt followed the vehicle Lyle was in and shot at the car in a dispute over money. A bullet hit and killed Lyle.

    Corbitt’s bond has been set for $1 million.
