    1 dead after crash in Shelby County

    SHELBY COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) — The Piqua patrol post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate a fatal crash that happened overnight Friday.

    According to the patrol post, the crash occurred around 2:17 a.m. on I-75 northbound near mile post 86.

    Motorcyclist killed in Butler County crash

    The crash occurred when the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee drove of the right side of the roadway and struck a Freightliner Cascadia tractor trailer that was parked on the shoulder.

    The driver of the Jeep was pronounced deceased by medical personnel at the scene. The driver of the freightliner reported no injuries.

    Sidney Fire and EMS, the Shelby County Coroner’s Office and Wrecker’s Towing assisted at the scene.
