TOLEDO, Ohio (WJW) – A Toledo man was injured Sunday after he allegedly took his 9-year-old son on a driving lesson while drunk.

According to Officer Nicole Tucker’s affidavit to the summons filed in Toledo Clerk of Court , 36-year-old Clejuan Williams let his 9-year-old son get behind the wheel and instructed him to “press the pedals.”

This Dayton area city is home to Ohio’s worst drivers according to a study

According to the affidavit , the child did not know which pedal to press and accidentally put the car in reverse. That is when the vehicle drove backward into a pole across the street.

According to local news station WTOL 11 , Williams was knocked down and dragged beneath the car. He was then taken to the hospital after the crash.
