Crash into church sends at least 1 to hospital by CareFlight

TROY, Ohio (WDTN) — At least one person was flown to the hospital after reportedly crashing into a Troy church.

According to Miami County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch, officers responded to the area of E. Canal and S. Mulberry streets in Troy on Monday, Oct. 14 at 10:03 a.m.

2 NEWS contributor Mike Ullery told 2 NEWS that a police officer reportedly spotted a driver who allegedly had a warrant out for their arrest.

The driver reportedly jumped train tracks on westbound Canal Street, lost control and crashed into a church. Ullery reports the driver was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital, and is in custody.
