    Crews respond to ‘large scale emergency’ in Sidney

    SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) — Crews responded to a large fire in Sidney.

    According to our partners at the Sidney Daily News , a home seemingly exploded on the 17000 block of Sharp Road Tuesday around 2 a.m.

    Debris from the fire was tossed hundreds of feet away.

    Multiple fire department agencies were on scene to help extinguish the flames.

    A married couple was in the home at the time of the incident and are confirmed deceased according to a sheriff with the Sidney Police Department.

    The Perry Port Salem Rescue posted an advisory on social media, saying that residents should avoid the area.

    Crews are still at the scene as of this writing according to the Sidney Fire Department. The Shelby County Coroner was at the scene as well according to our 2 NEWS crew.
