    Starbucks moves to lessen discounts, promos: reports

    DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — If you are craving a holiday beverage or any item at Starbucks, you might have to pay full price in the future.

    Brian Niccol, a 1996 graduate from Miami University in Oxford and the new chairman and CEO of Starbucks, is reportedly having the company to move itself back from offering discounts and promotional offers to customers, according to the New York Post .

    Recently, the cafe company had offered customers a few deals:

    • 50% off of drinks on certain days during certain times
    • Two drinks for $10 and four drinks for $20 on select days
    • Buy-one-get-one-free deals on drinks during select days
    • Additional star days

    In August , Niccol left his same position at Chipotle and moved to the cafe company in September, as the coffee chain announced its CEO was stepping down.
