DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Crews are working to shift into the next phase of I-75 construction , but delays are expected due to weather.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is planning to alter lanes of travel in both directions of I-75, as construction on the highway through Dayton moves into its winter phase.

I-75 traffic pattern changes through Dayton: What to know

Initially, ODOT planned to remove the southbound contraflow lane through Moraine on the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 16. But due to weather, the shift has been delayed and will not occur tonight.

ODOT spokesperson Mandi Dillon says there is no new date set yet for when the traffic patterns will change.

Once the weather improves and a new date is set, crews will discontinue the contraflow lane and return all southbound lanes into a traditional three-lane traffic pattern. The ramp at Dryden Road to southbound I-75 will also reopen to traffic.

Following this lane shift, crews will then return northbound I-75 lanes to a normal three-lane traffic pattern as well.

The entire project for this section of I-75 is estimated to be completed by late summer 2025.
