Charles Barkley, Coach Grant to speak at Dayton Arcade

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A fundraiser will see two big names inspiring local youth in Dayton.

University of Dayton head coach Anthony Grant and NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley are set to speak at Spark Great Futures today at the Dayton Arcade Rotunda.

Now more than ever, our work is essential. We are set to expand our STEAM education and workforce readiness programs, empowering our young people to thrive while driving economic growth in the region. We deeply appreciate the advocacy of Mr. Barkley and Coach Grant, whose efforts help bring meaningful change to the youth and teens we serve

The event will see the two participate in a moderated conversation facilitated by CareSource CEO Erhardt Preitauer alongside a member of the Boys and Girls Club of Dayton.

The event will also see the presentation of the Great Futures Award to Dr. Alonzo Patterson III, the first ever Chief Medical Health Equity Officer at Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Spark Great Futures is from 5-8 p.m.
