Crews respond to Officer-involved crash in Riverside

RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WDTN) — First responders are on scene of a crash in Riverside.

According to Huber Heights Dispatch, the crash was reported on State Route 4 near Harshman Road.

The Riverside Police Department confirmed that the crash involved two vehicles including a police cruiser. The officer operating the cruiser was taken to an area hospital for minor injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured. The driver will be cited — the offense has not been determined as of this writing. The police cruiser had its lights on and was assisting Riverside maintenance crews with filling and sealing potholes on State Route 4 before the crash occurred.

OHGO cameras showed first responders at the scene.
