Large police presence searching for suspect in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — A large police presence has been reported in Dayton.

2 NEWS crews on scene see a large police response in the area of Wentworth Avenue. Crews were first seen in the area around 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 18.

According to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, police were tracking a wanted suspect in a vehicle in the area of Siebenthaler and Salem Avenues. Dispatch reports the suspect ran into an apartment building.

Multiple jurisdictions appear to be establishing a perimeter and searching the area around the apartment complex.
