Police arrest suspects in attempted robbery of 2 NEWS photographer

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The Dayton Police Department has arrested two individuals who allegedly tried to rob a 2 NEWS photographer.

Dayton Police shared just after 9:40 p.m. on Friday that the suspects had been arrested.

On Thursday, a 2 NEWS photographer was stationed at the corner of East Fifth and South Main Streets downtown around 5:16 p.m.

Two males, who police believe to be in their 30s and 60s, respectively, are accused of trying to rob our 2 NEWS photographer, who sustained minor injuries.

“The City of Dayton and the Dayton Police Department take this matter very seriously,” said Dayton Police. “Detectives from the Violent Offender Unit are investigating the incident.”
