WEATHERLY, CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A woman is facing DUI charges after police say she was found unconscious in a car.

According to the Weatherly Police Department, on June 3, officers were called for a woman “slumped over the wheel” in a car on Maple Street.

Once on the scene, officers said they found a woman, later identified as Tara Ashman, 33, of White Haven, passed out in the driver’s seat with the car on and causing traffic problems.

After Ashman was woken up police say she immediately tried to put the car into drive to leave. Ashman submitted a Standard Filed Sobriety testing and she was placed under arrest for DUI.

After the results came back from a toxicology report, police charged Ashman with DUI and other traffic violations.
