Two arrested after traffic stop in Cherokee County sparks chase, ends in Georgia
CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) — Two people were arrested after a traffic stop in Cherokee County led to a chase that ended in Georgia Monday. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said 43-year-old Waylon Dale Epps, of Gaylesville, and 34-year-old Ashley Sheree Spivey, of Armuchee, face multiple charges following the incident.
6-month moratorium in place for CBD and vape shops in Hoover
A moratorium is now in place for certain businesses in the city of Hoover. Anyone seeking a business license for a CBD or vape shop will not be able to get one. Hoover City Council President John Lyda says there is a need for more regulation of CBD stores at both the state and local level, this temporary halt to issuing business licenses for these type of establishments gives them time to do just that.
