Court Filing Reveals Upheaval In Mercedes Moné’s Personal Life

Pro Wrestling marriages are notoriously tricky, with at least one of the partners regularly on the road and away from home. Therefore, it never comes as a huge surprise when couples split. And now, following rumors spreading online, RingsideNews.com’s Steve Carrier has confirmed via court documents that Mercedes Moné has filed for divorce from her husband of eight years, Sarath Ton.

For those unaware, Ton was previously an indie wrestler, performing between 2002 and 2015 under the name Mikaze. And while his career highs never came too close to those of his soon-to-be ex-wife, he did work as an enhancement talent against Ryback and wrestled an Ultimate X qualifying match for TNA.

Currently, it’s understood that Ton works for WWE as a costume designer, with Moné recently mentioning this part of his life during an interview with HOT97 . However, she wouldn’t put over his design skills but instead stated he had previously made her a “ disgusting ” outfit for Money In The Bank, which resulted in her crying. This would lead to fans wondering why she would share such a story about her husband, although it now makes sense given this revelation.
