Bryan Keith Talks About What AEW Had Planned For Him Before The Learning Tree

“The Bad Apple” Bryan Keith was a recent guest on Talk Is Jericho . Keith talked about getting his AEW contract, wrestling in Japan and meeting Booker T as a teenager and eventually training at his wrestling school.

Keith also talked about how he feels privileged to be working with Jericho and The Learning Tree. “It was wild, man,” he said of joining. “It’s an honor, it’s a blessing to be able to learn from you and just be, like my first introduction into this whole thing, to be partnered with you. Yeah, I’m in The Learning Tree, but that’s the real thing. I’m here learning under you, on-the-job training. Similar to when I was working with Booker T, it’s cool to me because you guys are from the same generation, so a lot of the things that he taught me are the same things that I learn from you, and it’s reaffirmed the things that I’ve learned. It makes me happy, man. I’m happy.”

Keith also revealed that the original plan for him in AEW was different. “I remember hearing other groups that I would potentially be in, maybe 4 different groups, and none of them were Learning Tree,” he said. “I think one of them was potentially Shane Taylor Promotions. Another one was, I know they were throwing around maybe House of Black possibly, something like that.”
