Paul Ellering Paid Tribute To Kevin Sullivan During Raw

Last week, pro wrestling lost a genuine legend when former WCW wrestler and booker Kevin Sullivan passed away following a three-month battle with illness. And now, during this week’s episode of Raw, WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering of The Final Testament would pay tribute to his friend and colleague by painting Sullivan’s trademark X on his forehead, which was originally inspired by the wicked cult leader, Charles Manson.

Up to three months ago, it was believed that Sullivan was in good health as he regularly attended fan conventions and had his own podcast. However, following what was described as a “devastating accident,” he would be hospitalized, and a GoFundMe was launched to help him pay his medical bills. This would see names like Tony Khan, Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes, Mick Foley, DDP, and Jim Cornette all make significant contributions. Yet, despite being able to pay for the medical care he needed, the news would sadly break on August 9 that Sullivan had passed away due to complications from a blood clot.
