Tony Khan Comments On Alleged Contract Tampering By WWE

In recent weeks, one of the big stories in the world of pro wrestling is that the Lucha Bros are WWE-bound once their AEW contracts expire in the coming weeks. In fact, some reports have claimed WWE has already spoken to the luchadors despite the fact it could be considered contract tampering. And now, during an interview on the Dan LeBatard Show , AEW head honcho Tony Khan has commented on this, saying, “ It’s still happening, ” although likely due to legal reasons, he wouldn’t go into further detail.

“It’s still happening. I will reserve all rights when it comes to that, but I don’t think that it’s stopped. I’ll leave it at that.”

Previously, it became known that WWE had inquired about the contact status of both Swerve Strickland and William Regal while they were working for AEW, which obviously angered Khan, especially since his mother was unwell at the time. Yet while this would eventually lead to Regal departing the company, it’s understood Strickland had no interest in returning to WWE, which has since been proven to be the right decision considering he is now presented as one of AEW’s biggest stars.
