Eric Bischoff Has A New Career Following His Exit From The Wrestling Business

At one time, 69-year-old Bischoff was one of the most powerful men in all of pro wrestling due to his position in WCW. Yet, in more recent years, after working for TNA as an executive producer and later as executive director of WWE’s SmackDown, the WWE Hall of Famer only remains involved in the industry via his popular 83 Weeks podcast, named after how many weeks in a row WCW beat WWE in the ratings under his leadership.

And now, during a Sports Illustrated feature, it has been revealed that Bischoff currently works as a mortgage loan officer for his podcast co-host Conrad Thompson. However, it’s noted that he isn’t doing this because he needs the money but because he wants to help people.

Bischoff broke into the business in the 1980s via the AWA, where he initially worked in the sales department. From there, he became an on-air interviewer and, in 1991, moved to World Championship Wrestling in the same role. Still, showing his drive and work ethic, within a few years, he would work his way up to the position of Senior Vice President, putting him in charge of the whole of WCW.
