Nic Nemeth Accompanied By WWE Hall Of Famer At Triplemanía XXXII: Mexico City (w/Video)

Saturday night saw Nic Nemeth defend the AAA Mega Championship at Triplemanía XXXII: Mexico City against his former WWE rival Alberto Del Rio, now known as Alberto El Patron. And while Nemeth would drop the belt in the semi-main event of one of Mexico’s biggest lucha libre events of the year, the big talking point for many fans was that Nemeth was accompanied to the ring by WWE Hall of Famer JBL.

57-year-old JBL has his own history in Mexico, working as Vampiro Americano between 1992 and 1994. During this time, he teamed and feuded with Vampiro Canadiense, now known as Vampiro. However, initially, there was heat between the pair, as Vampiro was disgruntled with another vampire character being used. Still, despite this initial ill-feeling, JBL would go on to win his first major singles title with this gimmick when he became the inaugural FILL Heavyweight Champion.
