Based on numerous reports, CM Punk has seemingly turned over a new leaf since returning to WWE and is impressing everyone with his attitude. This comes after his name was previously tarnished following multiple backstage incidents in AEW, with some considering him a “ cancer ” in the locker room. However, during this weekend’s Fanatics Fest , Punk addressed this by saying that he treats people accordingly, and if you’re nice, then he’s “ all hugs .”

“Oh, but that’s bullsh*t. None of that stuff is reality. The ‘he’s a cancer’ talk, and listen, not everybody gets nice me, but I treat you accordingly. If you’re a piece of sh*t and you act that way to me, I will treat you that way. If you’re nice, you’re smiling, and you want to have a good time, let’s have a good time. I’m all hugs. But no, and it’s not like I’m two different people. The ones who spread those lies, the ones who say those things about me, it’s because they can’t control me.”

When Punk signed for AEW, it appeared to be a match made in heaven after his first WWE run ended badly. Yet, following a honeymoon period that saw Punk regain his status as one of the biggest stars in the business, he alienated several of his colleagues, and Tony Khan had to separate him from others by putting him exclusively on Collision. Still, that wouldn’t be enough, as he would initiate a backstage physical altercation with Jack Perry at All In and was subsequently fired.
