Ronda Rousey’s Reddit AMA Called A “Dumpster Fire”

A Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) allows famous and notable people to answer questions from fans on the social media platform. Typically, they will be held because the individual has something to promote, although that isn’t only sometimes the case. However, while these are very popular with Reddit users, not all AMAs go well. And now, in a textbook example of what can go wrong, Ronda Rousey’s attempt to promote her Kickstarter graphic novel via an AMA on Tuesday afternoon has been a total failure.

This is because the former UFC and WWE star wouldn’t just be asked about her new project but was repeatedly questioned about her past comments on Sandy Hook and trans women. In fact, things got so bad that one of the most popular questions was, “ Do you plan on firing your PR team for this dumpster fire? ”

37-year-old Rousey was previously called out for sharing misinformation on social media regarding the Sandy Hook tragedy, seemingly having been taken in by a conspiracy theory. Additionally, she would insult the first-ever openly transgender fighter, Fallon Fox, by saying, “ She can try hormones, chop her p*cker off, but it’s still the same bone structure a man has. ” Still, these controversies never seriously affected her MMA, pro wrestling, or acting careers, indicating the cult of the celebrity is very real.
