Former WWE Talent Challenges Hawk Tuah Girl To A Celebrity Boxing Match

If you’ve spent any time on social media over the past few months, you’ve almost certainly stumbled across Hailey Welch, now forever known as Hawk Tuah Girl. The viral sensation would be named this after a clip of her saying, “ Oh, you gotta give him that hawk tuah, and spit on that thang ,” spread online, creating a meme and somehow turning her into a celebrity.

And now, seemingly trying to get the rub from her fame, former WWE talent Shelly Martinez, better known as Ariel, has challenged her to a celebrity boxing match for charity.

44-year-old Martinez broke into the business under the ring Desire in 2002 and signed a WWE developmental contract just three years later after training at OVW. Her big break would then come when she was introduced to fans of WWE’s ECW brand as part of a vampire couple alongside Kevin Thorn.

Yet, while her good looks and charisma got her over with fans, the company would release her following a backstage argument with Batista. Still, despite this devasting career setback, she remained in the business for another decade, working for TNA and multiple independent promotions before retiring from the ring in 2017.
