All In’s Casino Gauntlet Match Features Multiple Surprises (w/Video)

One of the most anticipated matches at All In was the Casino Gauntlet match for a future AEW World Championship match due to the likelihood of multiple surprises. And in typical AEW fashion the promotion would deliver with Ricochet making his debut and Nigel McGuinness wrestling his first match in 13 years. Still, while either of them winning the match would have gone down well with the fans in attendance, it was Christian Cage who was victorious.

Ricochet broke into the business in 2003 and, after building up his name for a decade, would join New Japan, where he memorably wrestled fellow high-flyer Will Ospreay in matches that put both men on the map. Subsequently Ricochet would sign with WWE and looked set to become a worldwide superstar. Yet he was subject to very mixed booking, with a 90-second defeat to Brock Lesnar establishing him as a midcarder. However, considering the type of wrestlers Tony Khan pushes in AEW, it looks like Ricochet could finally fulfill his potential.
