Rikishi Suggests Jey Uso Could Join AEW

Rikishi recently caused quite a stir on social media when he criticized WWE’s booking of his son Jey Uso during his podcast. In this controversial episode, he would question why Jey wasn’t receiving a bigger push despite being so over and even suggested the company was trying to break up his marriage by having him associated on-screen with Rhea Ripley.

And now indicating that his opinion hasn’t changed, the WWE Hall of Famer has stated on his most recent episode that Jey could “ probably go to AEW if he wanted to write his ticket, ” which certainly won’t be well received by diehard WWE fans.

“We already know the kid is so good, WWE ain’t the only spot. He can probably go to AEW if he wanted to write his own ticket, maybe more than what WWE is making on him.”

At one time, most fans thought of The Usos as simply being tag team specialists and saw little potential in them evolving into singles stars. Yet, thanks to The Bloodline storyline, both men raised their game to new levels and have firmly established themselves as single competitors, with Jey having even headlined SummerSlam last year against Roman Reign. However, it’s impossible to totally dismiss Rikishi’s opinion when you consider that Jey wasn’t even booked on this year’s show.
